Kitchen Guy's Cherry Soup

Here's what you need:

1/2 cup canned, unsweetened tart cherries
1/2 cup canned dark and sweet cherries
1 cup cherry-flavored yogurt
1 cup sour cream, plus extra for garnishing

1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 tablespoon grenadine
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated

 

Here's how to make it:

Reserve juice from canned cherries. In a blender or food processor, puree cherries with juice until smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, sour cream, heavy cream and dried cherries. Mix well. Add pureed cherries, grenadine, sugar and nutmeg. Mix well.

Let chill at least 2 hours to blend flavors. Serve chilled.
